For all plants enthusiasts, herbalist, naturalists, naturopaths, and just about anyone interested in natural healing; this 4-day tour is for you. Be amazed with the wide variety of Andean plants that are grown, cultivated, and harvested for their remarkable healing properties. Get acquainted with more than 200 species of orchids, moss, grass, and bamboo–including their medicinal properties. But of course, this four-day excursion isn’t just about plants. You will stay in a traditional ecological home with a local family, visit natural wonders, and explore the iconic Machu Picchu.

Itinerary
Meet up at Cusco main square and board arranged transportation to travel to Hydroelectric station.
From Hydroelectric, travel by train to travel to Aguas Calientes. Keep a lookout for various species of birds and other wildlife along the way.
Arrival at ecological home--accommodations while in Aguas Calientes. Leave your bags but bring your cameras to take pictures during the stroll around town.
End the day with dinner at an eco-restaurant.
It’s an adventure-filled day beginning with breakfast at 6:00 am.
Breakfast is followed by a 1-hour walk to Mandor Waterfalls along an amazing trail where you will encounter many species of birds and animals such as lorikeets, parrots, and even spectacled bears. An experienced guide will point out plant varieties endemic to the region, most of which possess healing properties.
After lunch, the next excursion will be to the natural hot springs that were used by the ancient Incas.
To wind down the day, enjoy dinner with a cultural presentation on the daily life of a traditional eco-living family.
After another hearty breakfast, it’s time to take the bus to Machu Picchu.
By 9:00 am, it’s time to explore the amazing sections and temples in this Inca citadel and immerse yourself in the ancient Inca and Quechua cultures.
Return to Aguas Calientes for lunch, after which is a visit to a butterfly hatchery.
The day is capped with free time at a local bar for a session of cocktails tasting.

Lesson on Andean plants from 9:00 - 11:00 am
Lunch at 12:00 noon followed by some personal free time before bidding farewell to the host family.
It’s time to board the train to Ollantaytambo at 3:00 pm.
From Ollantaytambo, it will be a van ride back to Cusco.
Arrive in Cusco around 6:00 pm.
